Sidney "Sid" Toney, age 79, of Forest City, NC, went home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2019. He was born to the late TB Toney and Maude Holland Toney. In addition to his parents, he was preced- ed in death by his brother, Grayson Toney. Mr. Toney is survived by his wife, Gail Bailey Toney; three sons, Jeff Toney (Lynette) of Spartanburg, SC, Greg Toney (Glenna) of Asheville, NC, and Mike Carswell of Forest City; two daughters, Michelle Bolding of Athens, AL and Lisa Nelson (Josh) of Denver, NC; brother, David Toney (Judy) of Forest City; and fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. FRED ALLEN MORGAN Mr. Fred Allen Morgan, age 93, passed away on March 27, 2019. Mr. Morgan served our country in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his par- ents, Thomas Matthew and Chrissie Melinda Hill Morgan; step brothers and step sis- ters; his wife, Druscilla Roseman Morgan; a son, Stanley Neal Morgan; and a grandchild. He was the son of the late Ross and Irene Dill Lowman. In addition to his parents, Roy is preceded in death by a daughter, Lela Jane Morrison-Lowman; a sister, Cathy Johnson and a brother, Robert Lowman. Mr. Lowman is survived by his wife, Bertha Jane Morrison Lowman; two grandchildren; a sister and two brothers. She was born to the late Walter Vernon Pruett and Ethel Beheler Pruett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell James "R.J." Goforth; son, Doug Goforth; sister, Lula Mae "Curly" Langley and two brothers, Robert Eugene "Mater Head" Pruett and James Edward "Jam Up" Pruett, Jr. Mrs. Goforth is survived by two sons, Ronnie Goforth (Deborah) of the High Shoal Community and Jeffery Goforth (Byron Murphy) of Charlotte; and five grandchil- dren, nine great-grandchil- dren and three great-great- grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Roy "Bill" McDaniel, Jr.; four brothers; Harry Earl Burbank, Jr., William Burbank, Charles Ray Burbank, and Donald Burbank; and sisters, Cecilia Irene Burbank, Patsy Burke, and Erna Mae Hammock. He was the son of the late William Hoyle "W.H./ Bill" Gardner Jr. and Lucille Hendrick Gardner. Mr. Gardener served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Karen Gardner Shepherd and one daughter, Kimberly Hastings Pruett and her husband, Tim Brady Pruett.
