A-8 The Press-Dispatch Wednesday, January 30, 2013 Pike Central Swing Choir has several concerts remaining By Mike Johansen The Pike Central High School Swing Choir is back on the concert trail a with several concerts culminating with Senior Solos and graduation in May, according to Director Vance Hays. The next Swing Choir concert is Sunday at the Mt. Pisgagh Church in Augusta on Feb. 3. A dinner or luncheon usually follow the performances. The senior solos are set for Sunday, May 12, starting at 2 p.m. with the solos and Swing Choir spring concert. There will be a break in March for the annual Spring Musical on March 15 and 16 at 7:30 p.m. and March 17 at 2:30. Anyone wishing additional information or to see if the Swing Choir can perform at their event should contact Vance Hays at Pike Central High School during school hours. The 65-member choir has students from all four grades at Pike Central High School and has a concert most Sunday afternoons or evenings.
