It's a story about six people who work on Wall Street in New York City who find themselves in Rhymeington, Wis., at The Dream Café and Spa to escape their hurried city lives. Each person has a different reason why they discover this peaceful artistic retreat. "The Dream Cafe Musical!" is written by Katie O'Regan and performed by her and the zany cast and crew of The Dream Cafe and Salon, including O'Regan's "Singing for Musicals" students. This musical is dedicated to Julie Wichman, who previously embodied the Character of "Pink," the inspirational Muse in this show. Wichman who was a magical muse herself, lost her battle with cancer this past August. She lived her young life with vibrant spirit and continues to inspire from beyond. Friday, Jan. 18 Skate with the Bulldogs Time: Immediately following the 7 p.m. CHS Varsity hockey game (9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.) Where: Ozaukee Ice Center, 5505 W. Saturday, Feb. 2 (registration deadline Jan. 18) Brightening Your Living Space with Indoor Plants and Keeping Plants Healthy Indoors Time: 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Where: Cedarburg Cultural Center, W62 N546 Washington Ave., Cedarburg Cost: $20, includes a breakfast buffet The Ozaukee Master Gardeners invite the public to attend a twopart instructional gardening seminar presented by Patti Nagai, the horticulture educator for Racine County UWExtension. Learn how to select the right plants to thrive in different areas of the home, including flowering plants, foliage plants and edible plants such as herbs. Learning the proper watering and insect control for happy, healthy plants will be discussed during the second session. The seminar schedule begins with breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. followed by session one, "Brightening your living space with indoor plants," from 9:30 a.m to 10:30 a.m. and session two, "Keeping plants healthy indoors," from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Registration deadline is Jan. 18.
