A-6 Local Wednesday, August 1, 2018 The Press-Dispatch Young headed to Indiana State Fair Mason Young, of Oakland City won Grand Cham- pion Gilt, Reserve Grand Champion Gilt, and Re- serve Grand Champion Barrow during the Pike County 4-H fair last week. Young will be exhib- iting and in competition with his Reserve Grand Champion Barrow, August 2-5, and with his Grand Champion gilt and Reserve Grand Champi- on Gilt, August 10-12, at the Indiana State Fair 4- H Junior Swine show in Indianapolis. Mason is the son of Phil and Kim Young, of Oakland City. Grandparents are Denzial and Con- nie Sturgeon, of Petersburg, and the late George Larry Davis, Charles and Carolyn Young. 2018 PIKE COUNTY 4-H FAIR Makayla Thorne smiles while showing her horse during the Supreme Showmanship competition. Kayla Cannon showed in the sheep division of the 2018 Pike County 4-H Livestock Auction. Makayla Stanley was happy after bidding at the 2018 Pike County 4-H Livestock Auction last Friday night. Guen Miller was a part of the 2018 Pike County 4-H livestock auction in the sheep division. 2018 Little Miss Pike County Kiersten Wood was in the audience at the Livestock Auction and was one this year's pageant winners presenting awards for the sale.
