WILLIAMS REUNION Descendents of the late Chester and Emma (Bea- man) Williams, of Cal- muck, met for their 15th an- nual reunion at the home of Gary and Kate Williams near Alford on Sunday, Ju- ly 15, 2018. WINSLOW HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI PLAN BI-ANNUAL REUNION WEEKEND Winslow High School Alumni Association has sent invitations for their bi-annu- al alumni weekend to alum- ni and friends. This year's event will be Friday and Sat- urday October 5 and 6. On Friday, the group will have a golf outing at Prides Creek Golf Course at 8 a.m. EDT. In the evening, a chili supper is planned in the Winslow Marvin Snyder Communi- ty Center (the old Winslow HS gym) beginning at 5 p.m. The building will be open for everyone to enjoy the nostal- gic atmosphere of the last re- maining WHS building and for meeting and socializing with friends and classmates. Proceeds from the chili supper will benefit The Gathering Place. Other ac- tivities are being planned in- cluding a "shoot a free throw for the Eskimos" event in the gym. On Saturday, the events will shift to the Holiday Inn Airport in Evansville. So- cial hours will be from 2 to 5 p.m. CDT. A banquet will be- gin at 6 p.m. CDT. The fea- tured speaker for the eve- ning will be Roger Nichols from the class of 1954. A f- ter graduating from Win- slow High School, Nichols received an engineering degree from Purdue Uni- versity and went on to enjoy a long and exciting career in NASA's manned space flight program. He worked along- side many renowned scien- tists and astronauts in the development of the USA's successful manned space voyages. Following the program, a local disc jockey will provide music as a backdrop for so- cializing, reminiscing, and dancing. Edward Jerrell, Vicki Egan, Rocky Egan and Brian Egan, of Bloomington, Ind., Ed, Cheryl and Winter Tilford, Anthony and David, of Paris Crossing, Ind., Lar- ry, Reita and Clayton Capes, of North Vernon, Ind., Paul Jerrell, Jarrod Willis and Carolyn Listner, of Peters- burg, Linda Lynxwiler, of Evansville.
