Everyone is welcome. "My God shall supply all your need" (Philipians 4:19). One lesson that Jesus would teach us is to have confidence that God answer every true petition. Skeptics may question it, humanists may deny it, and intellectu- als may ridicule it. Yet here is Christ's own promise: "If you abide in me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you" ( John 15:7). Does this mean God gives us a blank check, so to speak, when we pray? Does He promise to give us anything we want if we keep asking? No, God loves us too much to answer prayers that are foolish or might harm us. But the closer we get to Him—the more we abide in Him and His word NEW LIBERTY G.B. CHURCH (Coe) 1820 S. Co Rd. 800 S. Test, Trials and Help "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dis- mayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." (Isaiah 41:10, NLT). In this world full of sor- rows, struggles, trials and tribulations we as Chris- tians need to remember this verse and keep it with us in our hearts. Knowing that our God is with us and that we don't have to fear, in itself, brings peace and com- fort to most any situation. Kristi Catt was baptized at the lake at A zalea Path Ar- boretum, with Pastor Chad Searls and superintendent Loyace Lamar performing the service. It was a beauti- ful testimony of the work of grace God has done in Kris- ti's heart. Three other ladies, Melody Steward, Kathy Bass and Brenda Carter, were also baptized by sprinkling in a brief service following morn- ing worship at the church. Because of physical condi- tions, they were unable to go into the lake. Chad Searls, Pastor Even that God will give you strength to get through your trial is a big reassur- ance. But, him holding you up with his righteous right hand should bring the most peace of all. This means that he will protect you from your enemies and those who rage against you. Now this doesn't mean that you should put on a cape or that you won't have any struggles as a Christian. They are called tests and trials for a reason. But this does mean that as a Christian you don't have to be scared during these test and trials because God is with you and right there helping you along your path. Seek him in these situations and he will be there in a blink of an eye to help you. God bless you and keep you. See our Facebook page Glezen Revival Center.
