The sign- ups will be at the American Le- gion Park on Illinois St. in the concession stand on Wednes- day, March 13 from 3 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is also an online sign-up at tshq.bluesombre- ro.com/petersburglittlelea- gue. Sign-up can also be done by mailing in a sign-up form to Petersburg Little league. The registration fee is $20 +$20 per player for con- cession duty for all leagues. The maximum cost per fami- ly is $100 plus concession. Prospective players who cannot make it to the sign-up or don't have access to the in- ternet can call Joey 0'Brien at 812-486 -7107. No player will be turned away due to inability to pay. Winslow Sports League holding conditioning, sign-ups Who is ready to play some ball? Join the Winslow Sports League Wednesdays this month for conditioning and sign-ups. Open conditioning and sign-ups for t-ball, softball and baseball will take place on Monday and Wednesday nights at the Winslow Com - munity Center from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sign-ups can also be done on-line through the Winslow Sports League's page on Face- book. IDNR Hunter Education course begins March 25 The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is sponsor- ing a Hunter Education Class in Pike County the last week of March. The course takes about 10 hours to complete. It will conducted from 5:30 to 9 p.m. each night Monday, March 25 through Wednes- day, March 27 at the Sugar Ridge Fish and Wildlife Head- quarters Building south of Winslow, off of Highway 364. Seating is limited. Those interested can register for the class at www.register-ed.com to reserve a spot in the class. "Anyone born after Decem- ber 31, 1986, must success- fully complete a DNR-offered hunter education class to pur- chase a hunting license," said instructor Keith Thomas. Winslow co-ed softball tourney set for March 23-24 The second annual Winslow co-ed softball tour- ney is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, March 23-24. The tournament is for any- one 18 or older. Each team must have at least four female players, with a maximum of 13 players per team. There is a $200 entry fee, and each team can purchase a maximum of four homerun bracelets at $10 each. Registration underway for VU Youth Baseball Spring Training Camp Registration is now under- way for a one-day Vincennes University Youth Baseball Spring Training Camp that will take place on Saturday, March 23, at Jerry Blemker Field. The VU Baseball Team and coaching staff will host the camp for ages 6 -12 and par- ticipants will cover pitching mechanics, hitting, stretch- ing, base running, fielding – including rundowns and fly balls. Graham Mullins, Isaac Burdette, Michael Burkhart and Draven Readle won the 200 medley relay by 10 sec- onds, with a time of 2:17.68. Mullins followed that up with a first in the 200 free, clocking 2:06.43. Burdette won the 100 IM in 1:18.39 and Mullins took the blue ribbon with a 56.65 time in the 100 free. Burdette, Burkhart, Rea- dle and Mullins teamed for a first in the 200 free (2:00.57), Wyatt Luff claimed first in the 50 back stroke (39.75) and Burdette added a first in the 50 breast stroke (37.9). Firsts for the girls in- cluded a 200 medley win in 2:35.91 by the team of Xav- ery Weisman, Addie Russell, Julian Bailey and Athalee Loveless. Bailey won the 100 IM by 16 seconds with a time of 1:20.61. She added a first in the 100 fly clocking 35.80 and combined with Ela Adams, Izy Luke and Weis- man to claim an easy 400 free relay win in 5:32.66.
