For over twenty years, Rosann Young and her husband Jim opened their home on Lac La Belle for the OFA's Saturday evening Artists Party. A skilled gardener who had won many local and state awards and was president of the Kettle Moraine Garden Club when she passed, her property was always a lush, blooming backdrop for the outdoor event. More importantly, Rosann was a gifted hostess whose dazzling smile and sincere interest in everyone she met set a festive tone to each year's party. She also was a talented actress, appearing in television commercials in the 1980s and performing on stage with the Waukesha Civic Theater and the UW-Waukesha Theater in the 1970s and 1980s. Active in her community and church, she served on many local and state boards. Loved and admired by her friends and the OFA, cherished by her family, Rosann will long be remembered and greatly missed. Win Jones It is with sadness that we note the passing of Win Jones, a long- time exhibitor and friend of the Festival of Arts. He was a well-known watercolorist who exhibited his work throughout the US. He also taught adult watercolor classes for 50 years. Win first participated in the Festival of Art in 1971 as a juror, and then over the years as an artist, winning the Best in Show award in 2010. In 2013, Win was chosen as the featured artist of the festival, and the moody work that he created cleverly incorporated the festival's griffin logo. He will be missed. 2017 ARTIST CELEBRATION Once again artists and volunteers of the Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts will gather at Jim Young's home on Lac La Belle. After cocktails, appetizers and live music on the lakeside patio, guests enjoy a catered outdoor dinner and the artists' awards presentation. The OFA sends warm thanks to Jim, who this year will be assisted by close friends Lee Hayden and Mary Lou Wille. 256608001
