Petersburg High School Class of 1957 Petersburg High School Class of 1957 recently met for its 60th reunion. Petersburg High School Class of 1967 The Petersburg High School Class of 1967 met on Saturday, June 10 at the Petersburg First Bap- tist Family Life Center to celebrate their 50-year re- union. Thirty-seven class members from a graduating class of 81 were present. After a catered luncheon, a Powerpoint presentation, prepared by class mem- ber Jim McGillem, was shared with those attending. A special segment of the presentation was dedicat- ed to the memory of deceased class members. The afternoon was spent reminiscing. Several classmates attended a pre-reunion open house on Friday eve- ning at the home of classmate David Adams. OTWELL HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI The Otwell Alumni met at the Ot- well Community Center for their an- nual banquet on Sunday, June 11, with approximately 200 present. Ed Edrington gave the blessing be- fore the meal. Ruth Barrett opened the business meeting with the pledge to the flag and recognition of the veterans. "Proud to Be An American" was sung by all. Past cheerleaders lead the school song. The 50 -year, Class of 1967 was in- troduced. Names of all who had passed away in the past year was read. Larry Russell and Linda Thompson entertained with several songs Door prizes were awarded to Patsy Sendelwick, Karen Gross and Diane Elmore. Charlene Leinenbach won the raffle for a wreath donated by Kim Elliott. Next year's banquet will be on Sun- day, June 10, 2018. Submitted by: Teresa Houtsch. "Whispering" Bill Anderson concert – The Oak- land City Lions Club will sponsor a concert with "Whis- pering" Bill Anderson at 4 p.m. CST, June 24, 2017, at the Wood Memorial High School Gym. The concert will also feature Alex Benefiel with "Division Road" and Mike Lance with "Starbound." Concessions will be available. Indiana 15 Regional Planning Commission meeting – The Executive Board of the Indiana 15 Re- gional Planning Commission will meet Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. (local time) at the Commission's office located at 221 E. Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Support Group – Memorial's Caring Hands Senior Services sponsors an Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care- giver Support Group on the first Wednesday of each month. The next meeting is Wednesday July 7, 2017, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in Board Conference Room A, which is located on the lower level of Memorial Hospi- tal near the Tower Café at 800 West 9th Street in Jas- per. This support group allows caregivers to come to- gether to share knowledge and experiences in caring for loved ones who are affected by these illnesses.
