We should seek to produce the fruit of the Spirit in our lives, or to put it more accu- rately, we should allow the Ho- ly Spirit to produce His fruit in our lives. You say, "I am powerless to produce such fruit. You don't know how weak and self centered I am. It would be utterly impossi- ble for me to do so." With that most agree. That is, we can't produce this fruit in our own strength. When the Spirit of God dwells in us and has con- trol of our lives, He will pro- duce that fruit. Our respon- sibility is to cultivate the soil of our hearts through sincere devotion and surrender, so He might find favorable ground to produce His fruit. If at any time you have no church to attend, feel free to join us for services. I'm sure you will leave feeling blessed. Jerry "Tuffy" Blackwell, Pastor Sharon Kendall, Reporter NEW LIBERTY G.B. Oakland City Gary Pancake, Pastor 812-664-4716 Sunday school 9:30 a.m., Faron McLaughlin, Super- intendent, Ryan Edring- ton, Assistant and Sunday morning worship at 10 :30 a.m. We had a great service on Sunday as we celebrated our Father's, past and pres- ent, along with our Heaven- ly Father. Scriptures were read, special music was sung, our youth had poems to read, and Rev. Pancake had a talk about the "Prod- igal Son." The youth pre- sented each father with a sweet treat at the end of the service. A very nice crowd came to enjoy the day. We are grateful to our commit- tee for putting together a wonderful program. Six of our youth were at Camp Brosend last week. I'm sure they each received a blessing. June 25, will be assistant teacher Sunday and the of- fering will go to the build- ing fund. June 29 -July 2, will be Junior Camp at Camp Brosend. We have four chil- dren attending. The General Baptist Mis- sion and Ministry Summit will be in Evansville, July 17-19. We thank God for having been given the dirt from the first spoil bank on the north side of our proper- ty. We'll begin working on clearing and preparing the land for a building project. The dirt from the spoil will allow us to level the area so that we can place a build- ing on the property. We are excited to start the ground work. There will be fund- raiser to go to our building effort in the fall. Bible School, "Mak- er Fun Factory" will take place July 24-28. Make plans now to help and bring your kids to attend. Be in prayer as many have passed away and are sick in our community and also pray for Kay Hartke, as she is still having issues caused from spinal menin- gitis and pray for those in our church and communi- ty that are sick, in nursing homes, or just need some words of comfort.
