To register at the Council on Aging, you must meet the following guidelines: Income Eligibility as set by the NC Dept. of Agriculture and be 65 years of age or older. To pick-up your commodities in June at the Senior Center, you must have registered at the Neal Senior Center. Super Spectacular Celebration for Older Americans Month On Friday, May 5th, 2017, the Neal Senior Center will be having a "Super Spectacular Celebration" in honor of "Older Americans Month". The event will include a ven- dor fair, a flea market, lunch in the cafeteria, tours of the Senior Center, a special hot dog supper, concluding with a "Reverse Raffle", where the winner could win a jackpot prize of up to $15,000! There will also be 4 ($500) cash and other prizes given throughout the raffle (in order to award the $15,000 jackpot prize, 400 tickets will need to be purchased.) It will be a fun event and give many people who aren't familiar with the Neal Senior Center a first-hand look at the facilities and see what it has to offer to the elderly of Cleveland County. Tickets may be purchased from Mary Hamrick, Secretary. Those who buy tickets will be able to take part in the special hot dog supper free of charge. Other patrons will be required to pay $5.00. 139 E.
