Would you like to meet some new friends? If so, you are invited to join the Neal Senior Center Dine Around Club for seniors age 55 and better. During the months of January- September, the Dine Around Club meets at an area restau- rant on the 4th Thursday. On Thursday, April 28th, 2016, at 5:00 p.m., we will be dining at I-HOP located at 700 East Dixon Boulevard in Shelby. In handling these altered circumstances, many people around the country are find- ing an important source of support and guidance in vol- untary support programs, which put them in touch with others who have themselves, experienced similar situations. The Cleveland County Council on Aging/Senior Center has a Ladies Support Group for ladies 55 years or better. This group provides a variety of programs that deal with such topics as caring for your car, depression, cooking for one, self-protection and health information. It is a great way to learn new things and socialize with people in your community. Coping with life after the death or divorce of a loved one becomes even more dif- ficult as one realizes and deals with unfamiliar activities and loneliness. We welcome you to come and experience the camaraderie with this won- derful group of ladies. They meet monthly for educational, social and recreation events. The Ladies Support Group meets the second Tuesday of each month at the Senior Center at 11:30 for lunch and a program.
