...Countdown continued from page 3
3–5 Weeks Before
With about a month to go, it's time to
have some fun at your bachelorette party
and bridal shower. Don't forget to:
• Send out rehearsal dinner invitations,
and confirm dates, times, and final
details with your vendors
• Pick up your wedding rings and
purchase your guest book, cake
servers, unity candle, and toasting
flutes. Do you have something old,
new, borrowed, and blue?
• Have your final dress fitting, reach
out to guests who have yet to RSVP,
and consider buying thoughtful gifts
for the wedding party and parents of
the bride and groom.
1–2 Weeks Before
You're closing in on the big day—give
your caterer/venue the final guest count,
arrange seating charts, and confirm your
timeline with the wedding party. Then it's
time to focus on you.
• Pick up your dress and put together a
bridal emergency kit.
• It's grooming time. Get a facial,
waxing, and massage.
• "It's a good idea to have your
maid-of-honor practice bustling your
dress before the big day," Shonkwiler
concludes.
The Day Before
Tomorrow is the big day—it's finally here.
Pack all of your day-of items including
your marriage license and wedding rings,
clearly mark envelopes with payments for
vendors, and assign someone to pack up
your gifts at the reception. Take time to
get a mani-pedi, enjoy your rehearsal
dinner, and go to bed early to get your
beauty rest. Most importantly, enjoy the
amazing journey that is about to begin.
