C-2 Church Wednesday, November 11, 2015 The Press-Dispatch "This supersize thing is getting way out of hand." This week PAWS is featuring a sleek little gal named Chick Pea. Chick Pea is a friend- ly little Chihuahua who is very lively and play- ful. She and her daugh- ter were found wander- ing down a country road with no homes in sight. She seems quite thank- ful to have been res- cued and loves the bed she has been given to sleep in at PAWS. Chick Pea has a very loyal personality and is very intelligent. She is quite small and has a coat of short, smooth sandy-colored fur, much like a chickpea. She is spayed, has all her shots and is ready for a loving family. To adopt Chick Pea, call 812-354-9894. PAWS pet of the week Church news Continued from page 1 Continued on page 3 Chick Pea is looking for her forever family who won't leave her de- serted on a country road. When America had an ur- gent need, they were the first to raise their hand, without thinking twice about it, they were proud to take a stand. Some came back from war with battle scars, others in flagged draped coffins, even though their flesh may have left, their spirits will never be forgotten. They unselfishly and knowingly put their lives on the line. So when you see a veteran, thank them, be- cause without them, free- dom would have died. "…Have I not command- ed you? Be strong and coura- geous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go" ( Josh- ua 1:9). We invite all of you to come and worship with us. Bible As the mother was complet- ing the purchase of two new suits for her sons, Charles and Arthur, Charles proudly said to his brother, "Won't I look nice in Bible school Sunday? " A friendly lady stand- ing near overheard him and asked, "Do you go to Bible school? " And the small brother, Ar- thur, only five, giving her a withering glance, scornfully inquired, "Where else would you go on Sunday morning? " Blushing, the lady remarked, "That's the best sermon ever heard." "Let us comfort one anoth- er in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some, but exhorting one an- other and so much the more as you see the day approach- ing" (Hebrews 10 :24-25).
