Military Honors were accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Burial was at a later date at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. Mr. Higgins served our country in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Higgins and Dovie Marie Mayse Higgins; two brothers, Earl Higgins and Harold Mayse, and sis- ter, Betty Pope. Mr. Higgins is survived by his wife, Ola Gordon Shytle; a great-granddaughter; four brothers, Roy Higgins RUTH HORD SHELTON Mrs. Ruth Hord Shelton, age 92, of Kings Mountain, NC, went to be with the Lord on April 5, 2015.
