Services were held at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church, Casar. Burial was held in the church Cemetery. Sergeant Hunt was a Staff Sergeant in the US Army, where he served in Bosnia-Herzogovina, Korea, Afghanistan and Iraq. He was awarded a Bronze Star, Purple Heart, two Army Commendation Medals, and five Army Achievement Medals. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Dwight and Naomi Biggerstaff and John Hunt; grandparents, Janice Biggerstaff Tallent, and Robert William (Bill) Browning; and step-grandfather Gene Tallent.
