The Neal Senior Center was cooking up some party fun. As the “Special ingredients” (volunteers), were warmly welcomed by the staff dressed with their aprons and chef’s hats on, you got the feel something was cooking. The volunteers were seated at tables decorated with kitchen utensils, cookbooks, and spices. The staff served a delicious lunch and then proceeded with the awards presentations. Over the last year the Neal Senior Center has had over 400 different “ingredients”. A pinch of patience, A dash of kindness, A spoonful of laugher, and A heap of love. These are a few of the ingredients that have truly made the difference in the Senior Center. Like you and me, we could not survive without food. Just like the Senior Center – we could not survive without the help of all our volunteers.
