Funeral service were held at Shelby First Church of the Nazarene. Burial followed in Cleveland Memorial Park. Mr. Thompson served our country in the US Army dur- ing the Korean War Conflict. He was preceded in death by his wife, Freda Mae Thompson; his parents, Corley and Orpha Lipscomb Thompson; his brothers, Ellsworth, Archie, and Bob Thompson and his sister, Lorine Thompson. Mr. Thompson is survived by his four daughters, Diane Noblitt and husband, Doug of Salem, OH, Denise Hoyle, Jill Pruett and husband, Kenneth, Jaime Bowman and husband, Darren all of Shelby, NC; three sisters, Betty Brown of S.
