Put in your founda- tions first and be sure that they are well laid. Let the sacrifice of Christ in its ap- plication to the individual and his sins be ever the ba- sis of all that you say. Then, when that foundation is laid, exhibit to your heart's con- tent the application of Chris- tianity and its social aspects. But be sure that the begin- ning of them all is the work of Christ for the individual sinful soul, and the accep- tance of that work by per- sonal faith. Bob Shepherd, Reporter CuP CreeK g.b. ChurCh Sunday school 9:30 a.m.; morning worship 10 :30 a.m.; Wednesday, business meet- ing at 6:30 p.m. Remember those on the prayer list, the shut-in and our lost loved ones. James said that faith with- out works is really no faith at all. You have only to read through Hebrews 11 to see that the "heroes" of the faith not only believed God, but their actions showed their faith. Some people may think that showing your faith means going to church read- ing your Bible and praying every day. All of these are good things to do, but God leads us to show our faith in our actions outside our churches and homes. "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith with- out deeds is dead" ( James 2:26). Eddie Willis, Pastor Karri Brock, Reporter house oF MerCy ChurCh Sunday morning service 10 a.m.; teen class and chil- dren's Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fourth Sunday of the month, nursing home servic- es at Amber Manor; Thurs- day night service at 7 p.m. As God is still moving by His Spirit in saving souls, healing the sick and bring- ing deliverance into the lives of many, we are so thank- ful for what God is doing in our little Church. He is add- ing to the Church as He de- sires and adding to those that are there, they are tru- ly seeking His presence to become true disciples to go forth and preach the gospel, not so much with words but with their lives. This is the season of har- vest, everything that is of the world is failing and fall- ing apart, but God will not fail nor will He fall apart. He is the only one that can fill the emptiness in an empty life. If souls are not being won to the Kingdom of God and lives not being transformed, people not being baptized in the Holy Ghost, then is the Spirit moving in your are- na of life? A Church should resemble the book of Acts. Just a thought for many to ponder. May the God of heaven sit upon the throne of your heart and you be pleasing to Him. We pray that you find a church to attend and find and feel the presence of God. Remember the sick and shut-ins, keep them in your prayers. May your week be blessed with the love and joy of the Lord.
