Director Tony Goldwyn gets a lot out of a well-chosen cast that also includes Minnie Driver, Juliette Lewis and — as real-life attorney Barry Scheck — Peter Gallagher (“Covert Affairs”). DVD extra: interview with Waters.  (R: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray) “NEVER LET ME GO” It might not seem like a sci- fi thriller on the surface, but the deeper one goes into this drama based on a novel by Ka- zuo Ishiguro (“The Remains of the Day”), the clearer its genre- bending cleverness is. Su- san Blakely and Ernie Hudson (“Ghostbusters”) are also in the cast. DVD extras: outtakes; music video.  (G) (Also on Blu-ray) “HATCHET II” It’s horror-sequel time as direc- tor Adam Green’s follow-up to his cult hit — incorporat- ing more than a mild dose of “Halloween” and “Friday the 13th” — casts Danielle Harris as the survivor of a slaughter engineered by a bizarre dweller (genre veteran Kane Hodder) of the Louisiana swamps. She enlists a group of mercenaries to return with her so she can get vengeance, but achieving that aim is not simple, thanks to an enemy who never says die. Tony Todd (“Candyman”) co-stars in the film, which made headlines last fall when a major theater chain pulled it from all its screens.  (Not rated: AS, P, GV) (Also on Blu-ray) It’s fast, easy, convenient, and always available!
