Conan: Conan O'Brien During the European MTV Music Awards, Miley Cyrus went on stage and twerked with a dwarf. It's a pretty sad day when you have to ask a dwarf how he could stoop so low. According to a recent study, Southern accents were voted the sexiest of all American accents. Boston accents came in 87th, right after a deer being gutted. Jimmy Kimmel Live: Jimmy Kimmel For the first time in 32 years, Butterball is adding male staffers to their Thanksgiving turkey talk line, the phone number you can call if you are having trouble cooking your turkey. One of the guys just yells questions to his wife in the other room. Toronto Mayor Rob Ford admitted last week to having smoked crack while in office. Since then, he has said multiple times that he will not step down. Legally, they can't force him to. The city council held a meeting to vote on whether or not to ask him to resign. That seems very Canadian to me. almost becoming a cliche — when "Friends" alumni reunite on screen, it has to be talked about. But when former onscreen couple Matthew Perry and Courteney Cox (a.k.a. Chandler and Monica) reunite, it really is an event to get their fans excited. Perry will be making a very special guest appearance on Cox's TBS sitcom "Cougar Town" later this season, bringing the famous couple back together only a few months after Cox popped up on his sitcom, "Go On." "Go On" may not have done well enough with audiences to earn itself a second season, but "Cougar Town" is still going strong in its fifth season, weathering the move from ABC to TBS. Cox's acting career has been varied, but to many she'll always be best known for her role as Monica Geller in one of television's most-loved sitcoms, NBC's "Friends." Besides the success she found there and in "Cougar Town," she's also no stranger to the big screen, having starred in all four movies in the "Scream" franchise (1996, 1997, 2000 and 2011), among many others. Perry, too, has had a varied acting career, but his "Friends" character, Chandler Bing, stands out as one of his career highlights. On TV, he's starred in "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" and had a recurring role in "The Good Wife." In "Friends," the two pursued an ongoing relationship, eventually leading to one of the series highlights Courteney Cox welcomes an old "Friend" to "Cougar Town" er Perry's "Cougar Town" character will be looking to forge a new relationship with Cox, but with the natural chemistry between the two, it would certainly get fans atwitter. Full circle: Lifetime is bringing a beloved classic back to where it all began. "The Trip to Bountiful" is currently enjoying a Tony Award-nominated revival on Broadway, and Lifetime is adapting this classic for TV. The tale of courage and liberation — and even of humor — in the dying years of the Jim Crow South was originally written for the small screen way back in 1953, before making the transition to Broadway the following year, so its return to television could be seen as a homecoming of sorts. The new Lifetime production, set to air some time in 2014, will feature many of the same cast members who star in the successful Broadway revival. Cicely Tyson ("Fried Green Tomatoes," 1991; "Alex Cross," 2012) and Vanessa Williams (TV's "Ugly Betty," "Desperate Housewives" and "666 Park Avenue") will be making the transition from stage to screen, where they'll be joined by Keke Palmer ("90210") and Blair Underwood ("Ironside," "The New Adventures of Old Christine"). "The Trip to Bountiful" is perhaps the most loved work of Horton Foote, a man who became an Oscar, Pulitzer Prize and Emmy winner, and it's an often-hilarious tale of a woman on the run from her family as she makes her way back to her hometown.
