Challenge day is an annual program put on here by the high school with the intention to stop teasing, violence, and the alienation of students. The program was held at the Community Center, along with the students, counselors, administrators, teachers, and the school psychologist participated in the event. The faculty hosted a variety of events. These activities included games, trust-building activities, and presentations. These presentations addressed important issues regarding teens including conflict management, suicide, peer pressure, alcohol and drugs,The aim of these activities was ultimately to to increase personal power and selfesteem, to shift dangerous peer pressure to positive peer support and to eliminate the acceptability of teasing, violence, and all forms of oppression. Students at challenge day are given opportunities to talk about their troubles at home, school, or anywhere in life. The notice for Challenge Day wanted students to be aware that confidentiality was not necessarily guaranteed, as with such a large group of individuals at the event it makes enforcing it impossible. The notice did sate that "confidentiality is one of the primary norms for program participation" In addition to this the notice also claimed that, "At the conclusion of the program, the majority of students will leave feeling bonded, empowered, and committed to making a positive difference," Hailey Reineman attended the event last year, and her portrayal of the event coincided with the notice's, she described the event as "Really emotional, makes you realize not everyone's life is like yours. It makes you realize how you can help other and yourself, and how you can make the best version of yourself," She advised other students to attend, and to take part in events like this. Another student who vocalized their wish to remain anonymous, displayed a different view of the event. They stated of challenge Day that they "Didn't have a positive experience with it," When asked what they would like to tell other students, they only wanted to inform others that Challenge Day "Is not really beneficial,"    the main play is Dracula, adaptation written by director Jordan Page. This special evening is also known as Bonfire Night or Firework Night. Each year, on November th 5 , primarily in Great Britain, this special day is celebrated by many through flourishing firework displays and monstrous bonfires. The history and importance of this holiday is credited to, you guessed it, Guy Fawkes, who was guarding explosives meant to be used to attempt to kill King James I in a plan known as The Gunpowder Plot in 1605. Fawkes was arrested for attempting to protect these explosives. Many Londoners celebrated the fact that King James I had survived the plot against him to take his life by lighting bonfires all around the city. After a few months, the Observance of 5th November Act enforced the idea that this date shall be a special thanks for the plot's failure. With hundreds of years worth of glowing flames in celebration of King James's survival behind Great Britain, many still look forward to the warm lights of the Holiday evening every year. Another tradition the people of Great Britain take part in on this special evening is the burning of an effigy of Guy Fawkes. An effigy is a homemade model of a man, similar to the concept of a scarecrow. There is even a special song dedicated to the evening: Remember, remember the fifth of November. Gunpowder, treason, and plot.I see no reason why gunpowder treason should ever be forgotten. Robert Baumgartner (10) "Getting ready for Christmas." Maryn Spangler (11) "A pumpkin spice latte and cuddling with my cat, Frank." Jordan Chapin (12) "Curling up next to the fire, wondering where it all went wrong."
