A principios de ese año, Hernández estuvo en Bakersfield una vez más abo- gando por una reforma migratoria. Esta vez fue uno de los cientos de personas que marcharon desde Yokuts Park hasta la oficina del representante Kevin Mc- Carthy, instando al ahora excongresista a apoyar la reforma migratoria. Para sorpresa de nadie, McCarthy dijo que no.
