Quiency was born February 10, 1953, in Cleveland County to the late Kathleen McCluney and Robert Adams. Mr. McCluney served our country in the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by his par- ents and son, Jermaine McCluney. Quiency is survived by his wife, Andre' Peak McCluney; six children, Anthony McCluney (Kimberly), JeMyra McCluney, Mia Mokake (Gordon), Latresia Peak; Jaslin Smith (Aaron), and Shyion Hayes; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held November 25, 2023, at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Dr. Anthony Negbenebor. Burial took place at Vestibule AME Zion Church cemetery in Kings Mountain. JEANNE B. HOMESLEY Mrs. Jeanne Bridges Homesley, 77, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Mrs. Homesley was born on October 23, 1946 in Gaston County, NC, a daugh- ter of the late Hood Bridges and Inez Tate Bridges. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Edwin Homesley. Survivors include her hus- band, Broughton C. "Sonny" Homesley, Jr. of the home; a son Alan Homesley; a sister, Ann B. Scism all of Kings Mountain; a step-grand- daughter, and three great grandchildren. A celebration of life service was held November 30, 2023 at Long Creek Presbyterian Church, Kings Mountain, with Rev. Will Upchurch officiat- ing. Burial was private. James was born Tuesday, June 25, 1929 in Cleveland County to the late Ostace Hamrick and Myrtle Vegrace Hamrick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Jones Hamrick; two brothers; and four sisters. He is survived by his sister, Peggy Randall of Newbury Park, CA. Toni was born Sunday, February 3, 1963 in Norwood, MA. to the late Thomas Steele and Barbara Creamer Steele. She is survived by her sons, Robert Murray (Anjia) and Sean Murray all of Port Charlotte, FL and her daughter, Casey Murray of Ellenboro; her hus- band, Robert Carter; sister, Donna Zobrist (Robert) of Ellenboro; brother, Mark Steele of Washington State and nine beloved grandchil- dren. Born in Cleveland County, on February 8, 1950, he was the son of the late Alvin Lester Cook and Mertie Sigmon Cook. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Christopher "Chris" Cook; brothers, Russell Cook, Lester Cook, Ralph Cook, Ray Cook, Jerry Cook, Hazel Sigmon, Gene Sigmon, Howard Sigmon, Fred Cook, Brady Cook and an infant brother and sisters, Gladys Beaver Williams, Mary Fortenberry, Ethel Fortenberry and Evelyn Buff. He is survived by his wife, Dianne Bridges Cook; son, Jeff Cook and wife, Nikki of Polkville, three sisters, Reba Head of Polkville, Ruth Davis of Shelby, and Katherine Crotts and husband Dwight of Casar; and five grandchil- dren. Born in Cleveland County, on April 27, 1951, he was a son of the late Harold B. Dellinger and Theo McSwain Dellinger. He is survived by his wife, Diane Ledbetter Dellinger, a son, Zachary Dellinger; a daughter, Carrie Anna Dellinger; two grandsons; and a brother, Michael Dellinger and wife Lena. The celebration of life ser- vice will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Buffalo Baptist Church with the Rev. Max Turner and Rev. Dustin Mace offi- ciating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. AARON DANIEL EVANS Aaron Daniel Evans, 22, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Aaron was born November 8, 2001, in Cleveland County, North Carolina to Charles and Jennifer Evans of Kings Mountain.
