Now, three decades later, a new documentary is hoping to help free the words "Milli Vanilli" from the popular association with decep- tion, by turning the lens on the re- cord industry machinery that built them up before unceremoniously spitting them out. The true story of the dance-pop duo is told in an eponymous docu- mentary that debuted at the Tribe- ca Film Festival and is soon head- ing to Paramount+. "For over 30 years, the story of Milli Vanilli – in particular Rob and Fab – has been reduced to sensa- tional headlines," its director, film- maker Luke Korem ("Dealt," 2017), said in a statement. "With this documentary, we pull back the curtain on pop music. Featuring in- terviews with the real singers, re- cord executives, the producer mas- termind behind the deception and exclusive interviews with Rob and Fab, we unveil the truth of this complex, exciting and dramatic story. I'm thrilled that Paramount+ shares our vision and will bring this film to audiences around the world." The exposé fits in well with the recent wave of documentaries forcing a re-examination of the media narratives that unfairly ma- lign. "Milli Vanilli" also got the stamp of approval from Morvan, the surviving half of the duo. Pila- tus, who is featured in archived footage, died in 1998 from an overdose at the age of 32. Legal meets medical: It's been more than a decade since "All My Children" ended, but one of Pine Valley's favorite residents will be popping up in Port Charles this July. From 1987 to 2011, soap star Walt Willey made a name for him- self on daytime television as attor- ney Jackson Montgomery in "All My Children." A crossover also brought the character to ABC's "The City" in 1996, a year before that soap opera went off the air. Willey will be reprising the char- acter on "General Hospital." The actor confirmed the news on Face- book, where he shared, "Been sit- ting on this one for a while, but now I've been given the clearance to announce that 'Jackson Mont- gomery' is visiting Port Charles!
