Trained by the seasoned Mickey (Burgess Meredith), Rocky also starts a romance with the shy Adrian (Talia Shire), sister of his pal Paulie (Burt Young). Among the many legendary parts of the picture are Rocky-in-training's run up the steps of the city's Art Museum, and the song "Gonna Fly Now" from the Bill Conti score. The original 1976 film also is included with the first three sequels, making their 4K debuts as well, in a new "Knockout Collection." ›››› (PG; AS, P, V) "ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK: COMPLETE SERIES COLLECTION" Before streaming services started making series regularly, this much-acclaimed prison drama from writer-producer Jenji Kohan did much to put Netflix on the map as an originator of dramas. Taylor Schilling leads a superb cast as a pampered New Yorker whose past comes back to haunt her, in a major way, when she is put behind bars for an infraction from her younger years. Though there's some humor involved in the fact-inspired show's seven seasons, much of the content is grim and frank. The excellent acting ensemble also includes Laura Prepon, Jason Biggs, Kate Mulgrew, Taryn Manning, Danielle Brooks and Primetime Emmy winner Uzo Aduba. The bounty of special features encompasses audio commentaries, documentaries and outtakes. ›››› (Not rated: AS, N, P, V) "GROWING PAINS: THE COMPLETE SERIES" Some observers thought that family sitcoms were on the wane when this show became an enduring hit for ABC, ultimately running for seven seasons (1985-92). Alan Thicke and Joanna Kerns play the married psychiatrist and journalist who head the Seaver clan, also consisting of several children with distinct outlooks and personalities (Kirk Cameron, Tracey Gold, Jeremy Miller, Ashley Johnson). In its final year, the series welcomed a notable cast addition: Leonardo DiCaprio, portraying a homeless youth who joined the household. The memorable theme song was performed originally by B.J. Thomas, who later teamed on it with Jennifer Warnes and Dusty Springfield at different times. ››› (Not rated: AS) "MARATHON MAN" Director John Schlesinger's superbly tense 1976 adaptation of William Goldman's best seller makes its 4K Ultra HD debut, with the filmmaker and Dustin Hoffman reuniting from "Midnight Cowboy" in a melodrama about an amateur runner and graduate student who becomes a target when a war criminal who uses dentistry for evil (a marvelously chilling Laurence Olivier) emerges from seclusion with a need to know, "Is it safe?". Family ties play into the story, but not in a traditional way as the plot crosses from Paris and a South American jungle to New York. The many moving parts – literally and figuratively – of the chiller also involve Roy Scheider, Marthe Keller and William Devane. ›››› (R: AS, N, P, V) "MAVERICK: THE COMPLETE SERIES" Long before Tom Cruise adopted the title name as his aviator character's handle in the "Top Gun" movies, it was known in Western terms thanks to James Garner's part in this classic 1957-62 show. He wryly plays Bret Maverick, a gambler who would much rather bid than fight, but inevitably ends up in some physical scrapes with opponents who are less enchanted with his glib demeanor than admiring women are. The show also featured Jack Kelly as Bret's brother Bart, and the two actors traded off regularly as the star here, though they also appeared together in some episodes – and when Garner left after Season 3 in a now-famous legal dispute with producing studio Warner Bros., Roger Moore was added as cousin Beau Maverick. Robert Colbert joined later as another Maverick named Brent. ››› (Not rated: AS, V) "WHITNEY HOUSTON: I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY" While the late Houston's singing voice is heard in the music score, Naomi Ackie portrays her in this biography directed by actress Kasi Lemmons. The script traces the eventual superstar's rise from performing in a church choir to landing at the forefront of entertainers, prompted by her fellow-singer mother Cissy (Tamara Tunie) ... but her personal life, encompassing her relationship with Bobby Brown (Ashton Sanders, "Moonlight"), becomes tabloid fodder that threatens to upstage her professional efforts. Clive Davis, the music impresario who guided Houston's career (and who is among the producers of this film), is played by Stanley Tucci; the script is by Anthony McCarten ("Darkest Hour"). ››› (PG-13: AS, P) (Also on Blu-ray, Digital and On Demand) Naomi Ackie "These social media chefs and these home cooks, they've never been in these types of environments ... . I would say it's mildly overwhelming the amount of equipment that's in there because some of these things, you really have to spend time to know how to use them to your advantage." – Nyesha Arrington of "Next Level Chef" on Fox, on the high-end equipment that contestants must use on the set's top level " c c b o w o o t t h k to N o F e m le "I think people want their story to be told accurately and really opened up when I was asking them to share their experiences. ... You know, I come from the world of being a child actor and then throughout my 20s, I was kind of the sexy girl or the love interest or the girl next door and that was kind of just where people left me. And so it was exciting for me to get an opportunity to still surprise people after 30 years of being in the business." – Meagan Good on playing singleton Camille on Prime Video's "Harlem" " f t s o f a t k t g w p i to s 3 b G s P
