That duo and others who travel to an isolated island are served by a famous chef (Ralph Fiennes), but they don't realize that he has an ulterior motive for making their visit uncomfortable ... if not downright terrifying, which it turns out to be for a number of guests. Janet McTeer, Judith Light and John Leguizamo also appear in the film, which includes humor veterans Will Ferrell and Adam McKay among its producers. DVD extras: "making-of" documentary; deleted scenes. ››› (R, AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray, Digital and On Demand) "SPIN ME ROUND" Certain elements of "The White Lotus" – including co-stars Aubrey Plaza and Molly Shannon – are evident in this scenic, romantic tale. Alison Brie gets top billing as a restaurant manager who gets a dream fulfilled when she's selected to participate in a training program in Italy. For as much of an education as she gets in cuisine and customer service, she also learns a lot about life during her time overseas. Alessandro Nivola. Lil Rel Howery and Fred Armisen also are featured. ››› (Not rated: AS, P) (Also on Blu-ray) "CLOVERFIELD" The Statue of Liberty loses its head as monster movies get a very modern twist in director Matt Reeves' 2008 thriller, produced by longtime Reeves associate J.J. Abrams ("Lost") and receiving a 15th-anniversary commemoration with a limited-edition 4K Ultra HD Steelbook release. A lethal creature's rampage through New York is seen largely through a camera viewfinder as a group of young acquaintances tries to survive the attack. Cast members include Mike Vogel ("Under the Dome"), Lizzy Caplan, Jessica Lucas, T.J. Miller, Liza Lapira ("The Equalizer") and Odette Yustman (who, as Odette Annable, is now a regular on television's "Walker"). It should be mentioned that the intentionally jerky quality of many visuals here prompted some queasy theatergoers to race for the exit; special features from the original Blu-ray version, including deleted scenes and alternate endings, remain. ››› (PG-13: AS, P, V) "DETECTIVE KNIGHT: REDEMPTION" The action trilogy that was among Bruce Willis' final undertakings before his health- necessitated retirement continued with this second installment. His title character has a chance to reclaim his badge if he can stop a villain who is dispatching Santa Claus-disguised terrorists to wreak mayhem throughout New York. Co-star Corey Large co-wrote the script; Lochlyn Munro and "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum Paul Johansson also appear. ›› (R: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray) "GUNFIGHT AT RIO BRAVO" Familiar Western conventions get an international flavor in this saga starring Alexander Nevsky, a former Mr. Universe who also produced the film and helped come up with its story. He plays a Russian gunslinger who may be the only hope for a town overrun by bandits (think "The Magnificent Seven"), and he finds allies in a couple of local lawmen (think "Rio Bravo"). They're played by Joe Cornet, who also directed the picture, and Olivier Gruner. The setup here also is reminiscent of any number of Clint Eastwood projects. ›› (Not rated: AS, P, V) (Also on Digital and On Demand) "TILL" Whoopi Goldberg is a producer and star of this drama that tells the true story of Mamie Till-Bradley, whose young son Emmett Till's mid-1950s murder by white supremacists in Mississippi sparked outrage that would span decades. She became a civil-rights activist to ensure that justice was done – and as might be expected, the film is marked by strong performances led by Danielle Deadwyler ("Station Eleven") and Jalyn Hall ("All American") as the mother and son. Goldberg plays Emmett's grandmother in a cast that also includes Frankie Faison, Haley Bennett, Sean Patrick Thomas and Roger Guenveur Smith. ›››› (PG-13: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu- ray, Digital and On Demand) "Till" "It was so fun. It was a quick little trip, but it's nice to see everyone, always. I'll always be so appreciative of them." – Jana Kramer, seen recently on "Chicago Fire" on NBC, about attending a recent gathering of "One Tree Hill" alumni in Wilmington, N.C.
