Sumter Street Shelby, NC 28150 Phone: 704-484-6811 MEET OUR STAFF AUGUST Events Calendar August 5th - September 6th Shelby City Park Youth Football Registration Youth Football registration begins for Flag (Ages 5 & 6), Pee Wee A(Ages 7 thru 9) and Midget (Ages 10 thru 12) Football Programs. All ages are as of August 31, 2013. Register Monday thru Friday from 8:30AM til 5:30PM in the City Park Office. Registration Fees are $25.00 for City Residents and $42.00 for all others. Andy Brack Maintenance Worker II Andy has been employed for Shelby Parks & Recreation for 2 years. He enjoys playing golf, hunting, fishing and is an avid Duke Blue Devils fan. August 5th - 30th Girls Fast Pitch Fall Softball Registration Registration for Girl's Fast Pitch ages 6 thru 17 will be held in the City Park Office from 8:30AM til 5:30PM Monday thru Friday. Season will begin in September. ANDY BRACK THE PARK IS THE PLACE! August 26th - 30th Shelby City Park Cheerleading Registration Youth Cheerleading for girls grades 1 thru 6 will be held from 3:00PM til 5:30PM at the Shelby City Park. Grades 1 thru 4 will be Pee Wee Cheerleaders and 5th & 6th Graders will be Midget Cheerleaders. Registration Fees are $25 for City Residents and $42 for all others. Friday, August 30th - Douglas High School Reunion Friday, August 30th from 6PM til 10PM Douglas High School will hold their Reunion at Holly Oak Park Gymnasium. UPCOMING EVENTS September 21st - Midget & Pee Wee Football Jamboree Shelby City Park's Midget & Pee Wee Football teams kick off their season at Shelby High School's Blanton Stadium with games kicking off at 10:00AM. September 21st - Old School New School Annual Car Show at Holly Oak Park Car Show from 10AM til 2PM at Holly Oak Park. Trophies for top 3 People's Choice Cars. Free registration for Cars and Trucks to enter. October 5th - Annual March of Dimes Fun Run & Walk Fun Run begins at 8:00AM with walk to begin at 9:00AM.
