Born in Cleveland County, on April 13, 1950, he was a son of the late Ambrose Brackett and Frances Lorena Blanton Brackett. Mr. Brackett served our country in the US Marines during the Vietnam Era. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Melton and one brother-in- law, Gerald Short. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Faye Condrey Brackett; one son, Steven Dwayne Brackett and wife Leanne of Shelby; one daughter, Jaime Michelle Brackett Gipson and hus- band Marty Dawson of Shelby; one brother, Jerry Brackett and wife Laura of Mooresboro; one sis- ter, Linda Diann Short of Henrietta and five grandchil- dren. A Celebration of Life Service was held May 21, 2022 at Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Neal Efird officiating. The burial was private. ROMAN ADLER FLETCHER Roman Adler Fletcher, 1, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed on May 18, 2022. He was born in Cleveland County, NC, and was pre- ceded in death by his mater- nal grandmother. NANCY JEAN HOYLE Nancy Jean Hoyle, 90, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022. Born January 28, 1932 in Cleveland County, Nancy was the daughter of the late Clarence Lee Hoyle and Johnnie Gettys Gantt Hoyle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Hoyle. Mrs. Hoyle is survived by her daughter, Sandra Hoyle Crawford and Kevin Hoyle; a granddaughter and a great-grandchild; one sister; Melba Fore. In addition to her parents and spouse, she was pre- ceded in death by one broth- er, Howell Hoyle and two sisters, Ann Southards and Doris Lingerfelt. Harlan Nelson Edwards Jr., age 75, of Shelby, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022. He is survived by his three children, Christopher Edwards (Sandy) of Cherryville, NC, Bryan Edwards (Amy) of Raleigh, NC, and Jennifer Henderson (Logan) of Mooresville, NC, eight grandchildren; and a sister, Peggy E. Baker (Rick) of Shelby, NC. Born February 6, 1947 in Cleveland County, Harlan was the son of the late Harlan Nelson Edwards Sr. and Lavon Meacham Edwards and was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Hamrick Edwards and a brother, Eddie Edwards.
