The actor plays the tragedy- motivated originator of a spy network established just in time to meet the espionage challenges of World War I; Rasputin is among the enemies he and his agents run up against. Incidentally, King George V (portrayed by Tom Hollander) is the monarch whose "man" Fiennes' character is. Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Daniel Bruhl and Djimon Hounsou also are in the cast, with Stanley Tucci turning up briefly. DVD extras: three "making-of" documentaries. ››› (R: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, Digital and On Demand) "AMERICAN UNDERDOG" The story of pro football icon Kurt Warner is told in this earnest biography starring Zachary Levi ("Shazam!") as the eventual NFL quarterback, who struggled to hold onto his athletic dream while experiencing various setbacks along the way. He eventually made his mark with the St. Louis Rams, thanks largely to the faith placed in him by head coach Dick Vermeil (Dennis Quaid). Also important to him was the belief shown by his girlfriend and later wife, portrayed by Anna Paquin. Chance Kelly, Adam Baldwin (who also appeared with Levi in the series "Chuck") and Bruce McGill also are featured. DVD extras: six "making-of" documentaries; audio commentary by directors Andrew and Jon Erwin and producer Kevin Downes; deleted scenes. ››› (PG: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD and On Demand) "THE HURT LOCKER" Director Kathryn Bigelow's Oscar-winning Iraq War drama comes to 4K Ultra HD, with a superb ensemble cast relating the story of a bomb-disarming squad, the members of which eventually find themselves cornered by enemy forces. In and around that experience, though, the soldiers chafe to neutralize explosives in some uniquely hair-raising situations ... and they're based in fact, since for his script, writer Mark Boal adapted things that he observed while embedded with troops. Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Ralph Fiennes, Brian Geraghty ("Chicago P.D."), Guy Pearce. Evangeline Lilly ("Lost") and David Morse are among the stars. ›››› (R: P, V) "NOVA: UNIVERSE REVEALED" Shown recently on the PBS series as a sequel to its earlier initiative "The Planets," this visually stunning five-part presentation examines some of the most impactful (literally, in some cases) phenomena that have made the galaxy what it is. Black holes, rogue planets, the Milky Way and the so- called Big Bang are among the topics, with archival footage used along with computer- generated imagery to illustrate discussions of scientific history and related, much more recent findings. Material collected from the Hubble and Kepler Space Telescopes and the spacecraft Gaia is integrated into the episodes. ›››› (Not rated) "ALLIGATOR" Some may view this 1980 cult classic as a basic "B" movie, but for those who know the level of talent that was involved, it's a lot more. Available in 4K Ultra HD for the first time in a new "Collector's Edition," the thriller was written by John Sayles, one of the major voices in independent filmmaking. A family's decision to get rid of their pet reptile coincides with a scientific lab's disposal of living experiment ... and when the disposed creatures collide, the result isn't pretty. Robert Forster plays an investigator who learns of the situation years later: Robin Riker, Michael V. Gazzo, Dean Jagger, Sue Lyon, Henry Silva and comedian Jack Carter also are in the human cast. The bounty of special features included an expanded TV version of the movie. ››› (R: AS, P, V) "HOUSE OF GUCCI" Intrigue behind the public face of the legendary fashion firm fuels director Ridley Scott's drama, which boasts a terrific performance by Lady Gaga as a woman who pursues one of the sons (Adam Driver) of style-setter Rodolfo Gucci (Jeremy Irons). They marry despite others' warnings, then she clashes with the family patriarch (Al Pacino) as she schemes to gain increasing power within the company. As a portrait of beautiful people exerting questionable behavior, this is one of the most entertaining examples the cinema has offered lately ... and of course, the wardrobe is spectacular. Jared Leto, Salma Hayek and Jack Huston also star in the production, which the real Gucci organization reportedly gave its full cooperation to. DVD extras: three "making-of" documentaries. ››› (R: AS, N, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray, Digital and On Demand) Lady Gaga in "House of Gucci" "I grew up with 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.' It was the No. 1 show to watch in my house; we had the six seasons on boxed DVD sets, and they would just be on 'repeat.' It's called 'Great Choice' and it's kind of obscure but has a bit of a cult following. So Morgan and I had worked together under incredibly unusual circumstances and this felt like a real walk in the park." – Carrie Coon on working with Morgan Spector, her TV husband in HBO's "The Gilded Age" " a a s c c a b f a to u a w – w S i A Towne Park is now Medicaid Waiver approved.
