It's a ruse initiated by a scientist (voice of Bill Hader) who wants to get his hands on an impressive experiment Wednesday devised for a fair. In the course of their travels, the Addamses visit – appropriately enough – Sleepy Hollow, N.Y. Charlize Theron is back voicing Morticia, and Nick Kroll, Bette Midler and Snoop Dogg also are heard again. DVD extras: three "making-of" documentaries. ››› (PG: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray and On Demand) "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT" One of the most significant music-driven movies in screen history makes its debut in the 4K Ultra HD format via The Criterion Collection, following The Beatles through a day-and-a-half as they get ready to make an appearance on British television. Under the direction of Richard Lester, it's a heightened view of the "Fab Four," with Paul McCartney trying to keep tabs on his mischievous and "very clean" grandfather (Wilfrid Brambell) as the lads prepare for their home-screen performance. Right from the opening scene, pursuing, screaming fans also keep Paul, George Harrison, John Lennon and Ringo Starr on their toes. Besides the title tune, the score includes such Beatles classics as "Can't Buy Me Love," "If I Fell," "And I Love Her," "All My Loving" and "I Should Have Known Better." Pattie Boyd, who plays a young traveler on the same train as the group, would marry Harrison in real life a couple of years later; Phil Collins and Charlotte Rampling have blink-and-you'll-miss-them roles. ›››› (G) "HIDE AND SEEK" Determined to do the right thing, a man (played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers, of "Vikings" and "The Tudors") tries to locate his long-estranged brother after their wealthy father dies in this drama. Though his intention is to make sure that all appropriate parties get their fair share of the fortune, he doesn't realize the rest of his family is harboring a huge secret ... and once it comes to light, it could make the planned reunion impossible. Jacinda Barrett and Joe Pantoliano also are featured. ››› (R: AS, N, P, V) (Also on Digital nd On Demand) "RIVERDALE: THE COMPLETE FIFTH SEASON" The CW's take on comic-book staple Archie Andrews and his friends already has started airing its sixth season, but the round before it finds the gang trying to determine the source of videotapes that depict very unsavory situations – such as murders. On other fronts, Archie (KJ Apa) vies for a spot in the Naval Academy and sees a major shift in his love life, and Veronica (Camila Mendes) comes up with a new scheme against Hiram (Mark Consuelos) ... who does some fresh plotting of his own. Lili Reinhart, Cole Sprouse, Marisol Nichols, Madelaine Petsch, Casey Cott, Skeet Ulrich and Madchen Amick also star. ››› (Not rated: AS, P, V) "BRIAN WILSON: LONG PROMISED ROAD" There's nothing quite like getting the history of a storied career from the person who lived it, and in this documentary directed by Brent Wilson (no relation to the subject), the co-founder of music's enduring Beach Boys recounts his life and times to Jason Fine of the magazine Rolling Stone. Brian Wilson isn't the only one who tells his story here, since such friends and peers as Bruce Springsteen. Elton John and Nick Jonas also weigh in. Of course, a good share of the Beach Boys catalog is heard in the course of the profile, and some of it has lasted since the first iteration of the group was formed more than 60 years ago. ››› (Not rated: AS, P) (Also on Blu-ray) "LAST NIGHT IN SOHO" Renowned for putting his own spins on familiar genres, Edgar Wright ("Shaun of the Dead," "Baby Driver") directed and co-wrote this melodrama about a fashion-inclined young woman (played by Thompson McKenzie) whose affinity for the styles of the 1960s eventually leads her into psychological distress. She starts having powerful dreams about a '60s counterpart (Anya Taylor-Joy, "The Queen's Gambit") whose life takes some unfortunates turns, eventually leading the modern woman to have visions of a murder that may or may not actually have happened. Matt Smith, Michael Ajao and veteran talents Terence Stamp and Rita Tushingham also are in Wright's cast, as are two performers for whom this was their final film ... Diana Rigg and "Goldfinger" opening-credit model Margaret Nolan. ››› (R: AS, N, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, Digital and On Demand) "Last Night in Soho" "I was able to sock away more (hosting of) 'Jeopardy!' before the season (of production on 'Call Me Kat') began, but once that season begins, that's three weeks of the month that I'm on that job." – Mayim Bialik of "Call Me Kat" on Fox " a 'J s ' o t m – M "I personally have always wanted to do action, so this has truly been bigger than a Christmas gift. This has been such a huge gift to me as an actor, so I'm really grateful that (executive producer) James Gunn wrote this character and had me in mind for it." – Danielle Brooks of "Peacemaker" on HBO Max " w t t h g s t J c m B o Towne Park is now Medicaid Waiver approved.
