Signing on Wedneday, Jan. 5, the new cablenet will offer up a mix of series from the former DIY Network (which this new venture effectively replaces) and a bevy of new, original lifestyle content covering the areas of food, cooking, gardening, home design and DIY. Kicking things off Wednesday is "Fixer Upper: Welcome Home," which marks the return of the Gaineses' iconic home renovation show and finds the couple back at it coming up with new ideas for turning outdated homes into innovative living spaces while juggling family and expanded business demands. Also keeping balls in the air are Candis and Andy Meredith of "Home Work." Premiering Saturday, Jan. 8, the series follows the couple as they turn a 20,000-square-foot school into a home for their blended family of nine while tackling projects for clients. Erin French also has a lot on her plate (pardon the pun) in "The Lost Kitchen," which premieres Thursday, Jan. 6. As the pandemic bore down on her Maine community, the resourceful chef brainstormed ways to keep her restaurant open while also supporting the vendors from whom she sources her ingredients. And then there is "The Johnnyswim Show," debuting Saturday, which follows Abner Ramirez and his wife Amanda of the musical duo Johnnyswim as they cope with a canceled tour due to the pandemic and have to adjust to their music careers to life at home. In the coming weeks, look for a laundry list of new content headed by the culinary shows "Magnolia Table With Joanna Gaines," "Zoe Bakes" with Zoe Francois, and "Family Dinner," hosted by Andrew Zimmern, all airing Sundays beginning Jan. 9; and the home reno series "Restoration Road," kicking off Tuesdays beginning Jan. 11. Farther down the road, there are "The Craftsman" featuring master woodworker Ed Hollenbeck, and "Homegrown," about creating a backyard farm (both airing Saturdays beginning March 19); and "Ranch to Table" (Sundays beginning March 20) and "Inn the Works" (Mondays beginning March 21). And if it is old DIY favorites you seek, premiere week has new episodes of "Maine Cabin Masters" on Mondays and "Beachfront Bargain Hunt Renovation" and "Lakefront Bargain Hunt Renovation" on Fridays. And then the granddaddy of the home renovation genre "This Old House" airs in repeats in a three-hour block on Saturday mornings.
