HOW WERE THE ORGANIZATIONS IN THE GUIDE TO GIVING SELECTED?
While the 69 organizations listed in this guide offer a strong representation of the nonprofit
community in Cumberland County, we recognize that this list is not comprehensive. The
organizations included met all of the following criteria: They have received a grant from a fund
of Cumberland Community Foundation at some point in the past 40 years, they responded to a
survey sent in July 2021 asking if they would like to participate, they are a 501(c)(3) public charity,
and they serve Cumberland County, North Carolina. We encourage you to do your own research
before donating and/or volunteering with an organization. Be sure to check out our Tips for
