Born in Cleveland County on October 20, 1943 he was the son of the late William Summie Biggerstaff and Janie Putnam Biggerstaff. Mr. Biggerstaff served our country in the U.S. Marines. Donald is sur- vived by his wife, Betty Smith Biggerstaff; two daughters, Robin White and husband, Bruce and Christy Tipton and husband, Steve; one sister, Peggy Whetstine; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Steve is survived by his wife, Dixie Monroe; his son, Steven Bryce Monroe; two granddaughters; sisters, Alice McGee of Cedar Key and Janet Townsend of Lake JO CANIPE LANKFORD Jo Canipe Lankford of Shelby passed away on June 4, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosella Gantt Self and William Self Jr. and four brothers: Don, Gary, Gaylon "Fat" and Jimmy Canipe. Jo is survived by her son, Monty Lankford; seven grand- children; five great-grand- children; one brother, Robert Wendell "Buddy" Canipe of Shelby, one sister-in-law, Mary Ann Canipe of Grover; as well as her long time companion, Dale White. Larry was born in Kings Mountain, NC on July 19, 1943. He is preceded in death by his father, Ray W. Cline and his mother, Elizabeth Huffstickler Cline; a sister, Joyce Cline Howell; and his brothers, Ray Carroll Cline and Ralph D. Cline. Mr. Cline served our coun- try in the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserves and was a Vietnam Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Glass Cline; daugh- ter, Lashelle Ward and hus- band, Michael; and a son, Lee Coe and wife, Amy; his sisters, Peggy Cline Wells and Dixie Cline Blanton, both of Kings Mountain, NC; five grandchil- dren; two great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Ray Howell and sisters-in-law, Doris Cline and Franna Cline. Interment was held at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA on June 15, 2021. RONALD "RONNIE" HULL Ronald "Ronnie" Hull, 74, of Shelby, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Eugene and Ruth Porter Hull. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Marie Hull; brother, Johnny Hull; sister, Elizabeth Granger; and his wife's children, Janice, Emmett and Linda. He is survived by his broth- er, Doug Hull and wife Tina; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hull and Frances Booth and hus- band Kenneth; and his wife's daughters, Rita and Rickie. A native of Poolsville, Maryland she was a widow of John Elmo Sheppard, Sr. Left to cherish her memo- ries are her daughter, Betty Shelton and husband, Jeffrey; City, FL. He is preceded in death by his mother, Annae Rae Monroe; his grandparents; and sister, Sarah Clarke. Mr. Monroe served our country in 5 military branches, serving the longest services being in the US Army and US Marine Corp. She was born on October 19, 1934 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Thomas Wilder Hunt and the late Margaret Ruth Olgesby Hunt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James N. Brown; her sons, Jerry Hunt, Sgt. James A. Brown, Sr., and Vernon A. Brown; her sisters, Betty Adams, Audrey Sanders and Doris Hunt; her brothers, Charles Hunt and Herbert Hunt; a granddaughter; and mother-in-law, Bessie B. Berry. Mrs. Brown is survived by a sister, Margaret Young (Eugene); brother, Gilbert Hunt; daughters, Wanda Gail McDowell, Kathy Howell and Jennifer Brown Ambrose (Edward); sons, John Hunt and wife Linda Hunt and Reginald Forrest Hunt; daughter-in-law, Faye Brown; thirteen grand- children and a host of great grands and greatgreat grands. Burial took place at Washington Missionary Baptist Church. two sons, John E. Sheppard, Jr. and Steven E. Sheppard; special friend, Bud Webb; two brothers, Daniel Shoemaker and Kenneth Shoemaker; one sister, Wanda Shoemaker; two grandchildren; and two step grandchildren. In addition to her hus- band she was preceded in death by her parents, William Arthur Shoemaker and Georgia Smith Shoemaker; two brothers, Charles and William Shoemaker; one sis- ter, Peggy Ahalt; and one daughter, Wanda Frances Kay Sheppard. No public services are scheduled at this time. JAMES RAY "JIM" POE James Ray "Jim" Poe, 63, of Shelby, NC, went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2021. He was born on August 18, 1957 in Muncie, Ind to the late Gobel Poe and Peggy Priebe of Shelby, NC. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Shalp Poe; daughter, Abby Deputy of Fort Wayne IN; son, Adam Poe of Muncie, IN; stepson, Josh Broyles of Gastonia; stepdaughter, Sara McDowell of Bessemer City; his mother, Peggy Priebbe of Shelby; sisters, Cathy VanDyke and Vickie Buchannon both of Shelby; and six grandchildren.
