She was born in Cleveland County, NC on February 22, 1952 to the late Arthur Lee Adams and the late Lucy Jane Hartgrove Adams. Hazel was preceded in death by a husband, Jimmy, Sr.; son, Jimmy, Jr.; sisters, Betty Gray, Pearl Thompson and brother, Howard L. Adams. She is survived by her son, Jermaine; sisters, Dorothy Carelock, Dorothy Hopper, Felicia Griffin, Carrie Marble, Patty Brown (Louis) and Jane Adams- Dunford (Ollin) and broth- ers, Jake Adams (Doretha), Bobby Adams (Brenda), and Ronnie Adams. The funeral service for Ms. McKoy was held June 5, 2021 at Ellis Chapel Baptist Church. Burial took place at Sunset Cemetery. LADONNA JEAN JONES BRADY Ladonna Jean Jones Brady, 54, of Lawndale, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021. Born in Cleveland County on October 26, 1966, she was the daughter of Harold Dean Jones and Donna Gail Ward Jones of Lawndale. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons, Ronald Travis Brady and wife Cathy of Cherryville and Steven Edward Hastings of Lawndale; two brothers, Tim Jones and wife Nanette of Shelby and Reginald Jones of Lawndale. The funeral service was held June 7, 2021 at Ledford Grove Baptist Church with Diane of Shelby. The memorial service was held on June 8, 2021 at Westwood Heights Baptist Church, Shelby with the Rev. GILBERT "PEEWEE" HAMRICK Gilbert "Peewee" Hamrick, 80, of Kings Mountain, passed away on June 5, 2021. He was born January 30, 1941, in Gaston County to the late Wilburn and Mary Jane Cook Hamrick. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Owens Hamrick; sister Mona Scism; and brothers Virgil, Kenneth and William "Rick" Hamrick. Mr. Hamrick served our country in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his sons, Michael Hamrick and wife Sandra of Kings Mountain, Scott Hamrick and wife Tonia of Little River, SC; and ten grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren. Peewee's funeral service was held June 8, 2021, at Sisk- Butler Funeral & Cremations Services, Bessemer City with Pastor James Hamrick officiat- ing. RAEFORD EAKER Raeford Lee "Rae" Eaker, age 87, of Cherryville, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021. He was born August 29, 1933 in Lincoln County to the late John Russell and Callie Mae Hastings Eaker. Mr. Eaker served our country in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. He was preced- ed in death by loving wife, Ingeborg Flindt Eaker; a brother, John Paul Eaker, and sister-in-law Elvira Rioux Eaker.
