Born in Gaston County on March 13, 1952 he was the son of the Rachel White Stroup and the late Lehman Darrell Stroup. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Eunice McKinney Horn. Dennis is survived by his wife of 47 years, Doris McKinney Stroup; one daughter, Pamela Jan Terry and her husband, Robert Terry Jr. and their two chil- dren, Katelyn Marie Costner and husband Landon and Steven Terry; and Dennis's son Tim D. ROBERT EUGENE "GENE" LEE Robert Eugene "Gene" Lee, age 90, of Shelby, NC went home to be with the Lord on August 25, 2020, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
