Remembering Marysa Marie Nichols Campus Lunch Stuff About Marysas life M arysa Nichols was a 14 year old freshman girl who attended Red Bluff High School. She was described as a really hyper kind of person who had a smile that could light up the entire room. Nichols was a dedicated student who was described as having good grades. Marysa also had a bubbly, outgoing, and fun personality. When a friend of hers needed to talk, she always knew what to say if they were having any types of problems. Marysa would always be truthful and say what was on her mind. As most people know, her favorite colors were blue and green. Marysa told some friends that she wanted to be a photographer because she wanted to make everything as beautiful as it could be. Marysa could have been described as Brickyard Creek has plans a free spirit, and although being a photographer was a dream of hers, she was always changing her mind about her future. She loved One Direction and would often joke about how she was going to marry one of the members, Niall Horan. She enjoyed playing the clarinet at times, as she was an active band member at Red Bluff High. When asked about whats helping you through this, her mom said, What keeps me going on is Jesus and the thought that she is in heaven, giving the good memories to God and having faith minute by minute, said Marysas mother, Diane. She then went on saying that they had a good family and they almost never fought. Diane lives moment by moment instead of day by day like she used to. For the family of Marysa Nichols, it was extremely devastating to hear what happened, but by having family around and also the faith in Jesus as Diane put it, it helped them get through this heartbreaking time in their lives. As the oldest child, Marysa played a big part in her little siblings lives; they have no memory without her. They are very grateful for how much support the community has given them. The most important thing that teens need and everyone else is to have faith in Jesus, the second thing is to never leave a situation on a bad note, be at peace with everyone as much as possible, and be careful what you say to people because words can hurt, Diane mentioned in the interview. Diane also said that she would advise this to parents: Love your Dog matter how rotten they want to be because life Hot kids no Stand/Top Dog is too preciousMaybe you waste.in the moodevery memory with their child and short to arent As mothers, to drive far from school. Believe it or not this idea has been discussed previously before the tragic death of Marysa Nichols happened. 5 minutes Dan Backstrom, a teacher at ISP, said that there is a group of people who volunteered to join a group called Red Bluff Trails United. This groups goals and purpose are to provide trails for kids and teenagers to use to go to school. This group mostly cleaned up bike trails; and when kids were using dangerous or unsafe roads and trails to get to and from school they would try their best to provide better transportation. Roughly 15 years ago this group wanted to put a bike trail through the creek between the high school and Bidwell Elementary, which probably would have been an asset to this school, seeing how some of teens at this high school (mostly freshmen) liked taking a path through the creek to get to and from school. Many people forget about Home Depot in their decision making process because, quite frankly, who immediately thinks of Home Depot when they are hungy? Julia Liebert / BLUFFER A s a small community, it is very devastating about what has happened to former Red Bluff High School student, Marysa Nichols. The town is never going to be the same, but coping with this tragedy is already making a lasting effect. Awareness that something like this could happen even before, is a big thing people need to realize. Some dont like to talk about what happened because it is I think its awesome easier to almost forget about it, then to be reminded about it every day. Drawing because the school a picture in a memory of Marysa can also help by only thinking about the happy times. As a small town it is easy to say that if we did something different she doesnt have enough would still be here, but in reality blame cant be put on others for something like options or variety. 7 minutes this because you never know when it is going to happen. There have been several fundraisers have happened to help the family and that shows how much love can be given out as a town coming together to help out one of our own. There has been: three candle light vigils, a bank account set up at Wells Fargo, a car wash that was held at Home Depot, Mcdonalds fundraiser, Spaghetti Feast at Kids Fun Zone, Applebees donated 15 percent of their profits Thursday the twenty-first.. 1.4 miles 2.1 miles -Eddie Torres
