Sunday morning servic- es at 10 :15 a.m.; Praise and worship at 10 :30 a.m.; Minis- tering of the Word and Sun- day school classes at 11 a.m. Joshua was commanded by God to take Moses' place because Moses had passed away. Joshua was to take the people of Israel into the land that God had showed Abraham and said it was for him and his descendants. God told Joshua to meditate (chew, ponder, utter, speak) the law (the Word) and not let it depart from Him. This applies to us today. Also He told Joshua he would prosper and have success. Are you ready for the benefits of God's Word? Open it and read it. What you speak goes in your ear and into your heart. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. So what comes forth is the Word which will bring you pros- perity and success. Remember our president, government and Jerusalem in your prayer time. Also pray for those in hospitals, nursing homes, your neigh- bors, any that are sick and in bondage. Memory Loss Three seniors were dis- cussing the short term memory problems that of- ten come with aging. Senior No. 1: Just the oth- er day I was midway on the stairs, when I couldn't re- member if I was going up- stairs to get something or coming downstairs to do something. Senior No. 2: I know what you mean. Yesterday I was standing in front of the fridge with the door open and holding a jar of mayo. I couldn't remember if I was putting it back or taking it out to make a sandwich. Senior No. 3: Well, thank goodness that hasn't started happening to me yet, knock on wood. Oh! Just a minute. Someone's at the door. This is a cute joke about memory, but one thing I am truly thankful for is that "Je- sus Christ is the same yes- terday, today and forever" (Hebrews 13:8, NIV ). We invite all of you to come and worship with us. Roy Stilwell, Pastor Pam Lemond, Reporter
