'Unplanned' movie in theatres now Unplanned is the most im- portant movie you will ever see on the most controver- sial issue of our time—abor- tion. No matter which side of the fence you are on, no one will leave this film unmoved. Right to Life of Southwest Indiana hosted a premiere of the movie Unplanned on Thursday, March 28, at Showplace East Cinemas in Evansville. It continues through this weekend and is also showing in Jasper. Unplanned is the inspir- ing true story of one wom- an's journey of transforma- tion. All Abby Johnson ever wanted to do was help wom- en. As one of the youngest Planned Parenthood clin- ic directors in the nation, she was involved in more than 22,000 abortions and counseled countless wom- en about their reproductive choices. Her passion sur- rounding a woman's right to choose even led her to become a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood, where she fought to enact legisla- tion for the cause in which she so deeply believed. One day she saw some- thing that changed every- thing, leading Abby to join her former enemies at 40 Days for Life, and become one of the most ardent pro- life speakers in America. Unplanned received a con- troversial "R" rating from the MPA A even though the movie contains no gun vio- lence or profanity. Critics of the "R" rating have said that it is ironic that a young girl can get an abortion without her parents' consent in many states, but can't see a mov- ie about it. Take your family and friends to see Unplanned this weekend. net edition yeah, it's that fast! Z M www.PressDispatch.net/Subscribe It's The Press-Dispatch. No matter where you live.
