"Defensively, we were pretty solid all year, hold- ing the majority of teams to under our goal of 50 points. However, we really were nev- er capable of shooting well on a consistent basis. These seniors did a nice job of bat- tling all season, coming in with no varsity experience outside of Benson. They had a tall task of jumping straight into playing major minutes and roles. They all had great moments through- out the season and played re- ally well at times." "I know they all wanted to have a more successful se- nior year as far as wins go, but they really did a lot of great things. They helped to lay the foundation for what we are trying to get ac- complished as far as culture change." "Unfortunately, chang- ing a culture is not an easy task and it takes time and a lot of hard work. This group of seniors is a very tight- knit group and one that will be missed in the Pike Cen- tral basketball family. Mov- ing forward, we have several players coming back who are very hungry to get to work. They are not satisfied with how this season went and are looking to have a big off-sea- son." "We have several kids who really are buying into the im- portance of the 'un-required' work and are very dedicat- ed in making themselves in- to better basketball players."
