• CALENDAR OF EVENTS • Jan. 16 through Jan. 26 "Middle Kingdoms;" work by Stephanie Barenz Where: River Edge Gallery, 184 S. Main St., Thiensville Barenz spent a year and a half living in China, an experience that has inspired her latest exhibition. Barenz' paintings are known for their architectural imagery, particularly those of Milwaukee. Her latest works, though grounded in Milwaukee, illustrate her "fantastical" experience in China. Her paintings have been featured at Dean Jensen Gallery, the Racine Art Council and at events at the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Milwaukee Repertory Theater. She is also featured in Schiffer Publishing's new book, "100 Artists of the Midwest," released in June.
