The turkey weighed 25, pounds, had a 10-inch beard and one inch spurs. Pike County resident Briar Meadors had a successful turkey hunt this Nice turkey for Springston Selvin, and granddaughter of Margaret Springston of Selvin and Dale and Mary Beadles of Winslow, killed this 22-pound turkey with a 10 and three- quarter inch beard the first morning of the youth turkey season.
