fresh-made jam on the side, and I'll always get the ketchup because they make it by hand. It's just a nice, warm, hearty breakfast. "I run an experimental music series called Lampo with my husband, and we operate out of the Graham Foundation (4 W. Burton Pl., 312-787-4071; graham foundation.org). About once a month I walk through their galleries, and I just love their shows and the way they hang them. There's something really interesting about looking at more challenging work on paper and things that are more progressive or architecturally driven inside this beautiful, historic brownstone. "For gifts or objects, I really like Unison (1911 W. Division St., 773-227-3180; unisonhome.com). It's a housewares store with a lot of Scandinavian-inspired objects and design objects, and they also have a beautiful textile collection. "As far as clothing, I'm a big Steven Alan (1659 N. Damen Ave., 773-697-4102; stevenalan.com) junkie—I could probably buy all my clothes there, but I would feel silly. I really like that store, and I was pretty thrilled when it came to Chicago. "Thalia Hall (1807 S. Allport St., 312-526-3851; thaliahallchicago.com) is a really cool place to catch live music because it has a little bit of newness to it, which it fun. And it's always nice to go up to The Signature Lounge at the 95th (875 N. Michigan Ave., 312-787-9596; signatureroom.com) in the John Hancock Center, have a holiday snack, and look out on the city—it's a nice wintery scene out there. "Another place I've been going lately is Celeste (111 W. Hubbard St., 312-828-9000; celestechicago.com), a restaurant and bar in River North; we actually did the identity for it. I go there after work, just grab a drink, and maybe have dinner on the second f loor. They have such a great menu." ma from left: Lake Street Dive performing at Thalia Hall; the courtyard of the Graham Foundation, where Alisa Wolfson hosts her experimental music series, Lampo.
