Mr. Ackley (Teacher) "I don't care that much. I would like to be with my son who is going to be a hobbit, but I will be going to see him before the game." Emily Grissom (10) "It's cool, but it kind of sucks because people have other plans." Monroe Grabfelder (12) "It's so rad that after the game I get to go trick or treating." Spartan's Coach of the Issue Elena Tomasetti Girls' Golf Coach Elena Tomasetti Has been coaching tennis here at Red Bluff High School since 2007. Also, she began teaching at Red Bluff High School in the Fall of 2005. Tomasetti stated, "I love golf. I like the opportunity to build relationships with my students outside of the classroom." I quote Elena Tomasetti shared that she lives by is, "The one thing nobody can take away from you is your education." "All season we have been in the lead," said Tomasetti. The Red Bluff High School's girls tennis team finished second out of seven schools. Coach of the Issue/Jay Boone and Tymberlyn Bealer Hailie Willey Staff Writter Jay Boone Staff Writer Lexi Pritchard Topics Editor Photo by Jay Boone Red Bluff High School's varsity volleyball team persevered throughout the recent Pink Out game Tuesday, October 21, 2014 marked the annual pink out volleyball game for our Red Bluff High Varsity team. Despite the loss to Chico, winning one of four sets, the team played hard the entire game and put up quite the fight. Senior Sosie O'Sullivan stated, "I thought we played very well. We put up a fight against Chico." Although she believes they played very well, the team could have done things differently and could have played a bit more strategically. When asked if and what the team could have done better, Sosie responded saying, "Yes, we could have focused on tipping in their back corners more." Regardless of the out come of the game, the team still did what they had hoped for in regards to the pink out. The purpose of the pink out game is to bring breast cancer awareness to the community. Even though the team does not raise money for breast cancer, they do show their support for the cause. "We all wore pink socks, pink bow ties, and got to throw things to the crowd.", as stated by O'Sullivan. The team considers the night to have been a success as far as the pink out aspect of the game goes. Another member of the team said, "They are like family. We spend so much time together, we are like brothers." The next game is against PV at 7:30 and takes place at PV High School. Red Bluff High School's Varsity football team is practicing in the rain for the Halloween game against Enterprise, tonight at 7:00pm. more games than we did. One of the things the players of this team feels will help them succeed is their defense. "Our defense is very strong, most of our players do their job and complete their tasks," said Clement. The one thing they believe the need to work on for PV is their overall communication. The teams next game which will be their last game of the season is Thursday, November 6 against Pleasant Valley. With the end of their season coming near the Red Bluff Boys Freshman Football team has high hopes to end their season with a bang by hopefully adding two more wins to their overall record for this season. "Our overall hopes for the rest of the season is to win our next two games to even out our record, and win a home game for this season," said Freshman Tye Clement.
