...without whom this issue would not have been possible winter 2013/spring 2014  Greg Fitzsimmons Freelance writer Fitzsimmons grew up surfing and weathering the cold waters along Northern California's coastline and skiing in Tahoe. After studying English in San Diego and publishing in New York City, he landed in Aspen. Fitzsimmons writes for Outside, GQ , Fast Company, Powder, and Skiing, among other publications, and he penned our feature "On a Moonlight Ride," page 172. What surprised you most while writing about full-moon parties? Hearing about dads and their children sharing the full-moon experience really resonates with me. How did you first get involved in this scene? There's a solid community of like-minded people here. Once you get tapped in, you're always hearing about awesome things going on. Oliver Sharpe A travel junkie and leisure lover, Sharpe talks to cameras for a living. The Emmy-award winning producer specializes in live interviews, event coverage, and creating compelling branded content for high-end clients. Sharpe wrote our And Finally column about the movie Aspen Extreme, page 216. Why does this film resonate with locals?  Rainer Hosch Born in Vienna, Austria, photojournalist Hosch is based in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters and has had work featured in publications such as Men's Vogue, Wired, and Interview, among others. He can't live without his camera, the ocean, and his vintage record collection. What sparked your interest in photography? My dad was a photographer, and I got my first camera for my 8th birthday. What are your favorite subjects to shoot? People. The best part of my job is that I get meet so many different, interesting people. What what did you enjoy most about shooting our cover star Ed Burns (page 152)? It was a real pleasure. Ed was easy-going and good looking. What else could you ask for? photography by Michele Cardamone (fitzsimmons); Andrew J. Wilz (sharpe); justin coit (zoe)  Rachel Zoe Celebrity fashion stylist, editor, and designer Zoe has been involved in the fashion industry for nearly two decades. She released her best-selling book, Style A to Zoe, in 2007; debuted her Bravo TV series, The Rachel Zoe Project, the following year; launched the daily online newsletter The ZOE Report in 2009; and founded her eponymous fashion line in 2011. In this issue, Zoe selects her It piece of the season—a Louis Vuitton leather jacket—for our Wish List, page 136. Why do you love visiting Aspen? Aspen is the most magical place—a perfect blend of glamour and nature. It's beyond picturesque. Top past Aspen experience: I spent so many winters here—skiing, going to The Little Nell and sitting by the fire with my best friends—Aspen is literally a dream. [My husband] Rodger and I took our first ski trip together to Aspen, so it's always been special to me. It gets at the heart of being a local. The mountains are the common denominator; everyone can enjoy them and then talk about it at the bar. The best part about living in Aspen… is leaving. When you travel and are coming home, you realize home is Aspen! That's an amazing feeling. You are going home to a vacation. 36  aspenpeak-magazine.com 036_AP_FOB_Contribs_WIN13_SPR_14.indd 36 10/30/13 6:01 PM
