Uniquely Corning Chamber of Commerce 1110 Solano St. Corning, CA 96021 824-5550 Fax: 824-9499 www.corningcachamber.org A letter from the Chamber of Commerce The Corning Chamber is happy to be working with and for the businesses, clubs and organizations and even churches of Corning to make this a desirable place to live and work. We offer three main events throughout the year that include the May Madness Car Show on Mother's Day weekend, the Olive Festival at the end of August and Hometown Christmas the first Saturday of December. These fun events draw thousands to Corning and offer something for the whole family. Corning is known for its olives and we are proud to be the Olive Capital. We are especially proud of Bell Carter Olive Company, the largest olive processing plant in the United States. It is very much a part of the culture and history of Corning. People in the United States are becoming more aware of the health benefits of cooking with olive oil, and there is a real boon in olive oil consumption in this country. We proudly recommend our local olive oil companies that produce some of the finest extra virgin olive oil around. Corning Olive Oil, Pacific Sun Gourmet (in Gerber), Lucero Olive Oil and Nash's Olive Oil are all awardwinning producers of olive oil and we look to a promising future as they draw travelers off I-5 to taste and buy their products. The Olive Pit and Olive Hut sell many different varieties of olives, olive oil, local nuts and gift packs and have been drawing patrons for years. You will find these businesses on the Tehama Trail, an agricultural journey through Tehama County. We encourage you to check it out at www.tehamatrail.com and visit these businesses.
