She is a mission-driven leader who enjoys advocating for women's health care rights and promoting professional growth. She serves as the Director of Health Care Operations and Women's Health at Erie Family Health Center, a Federally Quali- fied Health Center with 13 loca- tions across the Chicago area. In this dual leadership role, she is res- ponsible for managing finances and providing patients access to primary health care and prenatal care services. Simultaneously, she oversees the development, im- plementation and management of systems that improve care and community health outcomes. For her hard work, Urbina- Loza earned an invitation to complete the Chicago Safety Net Learning Collaborative Leaders- hip Program for health care pro- fessionals. She sits on the Alum- nae Board of Mujeres de HACE, which offers professional deve- lopment for mid-management to executive-level Latina leaders. Originally from Michigan, Urbina-Loza has lived in the Chi- cago area for more than 20 years. She earned a bachelor's degree in sociology from the Universi- ty of Michigan, specializing in health, aging and population, social welfare, social inequality and international social change. She also earned an MBA in health care administration from Con- cordia University. Urbina-Loza graduated with honors while completing an internship at Rush Hospital in Oak Park as a Quality Management Specialist, where she focused on improving patient care and staff performance based on patient safety data.
