We have a lot to learn yet and a lot to go over," said Head Coach Eric Knight, who is assisted by Justin Knight. "I see some improvement every game and the girls are learning more every day. We will work on our defense and shooting. Then I believe people will notice a different group of girls." The Lady Chargers were outscored 4-2 in the opening quarter and 10-4 in the sec- ond for a 14-6 deficit at half- time. They trailed 21-8 after three quarters. Sydney Brooks scored girls. They played excellent defense as well as playing with heart and hustle," said Coach Knight. "Overall, our shooting needs some work and we will work on that over Thanksgiving break. After saying that, I am very proud of the girls after this game because they know now what they need to do and work on to become bet- ter ball players. I see the rest of our season going better and we can start getting on a winning streak." Pike Central trailed 1-9 af- ter the first period and 5-19 at halftime. They were only down 17-32 after three quar- ters and out scored South Spencer 15-3 in the final pe- riod. Jo Whitehead had 18 points, Brooks 9, Gish 4 and Harris 1. "We still have a lot to work on offen- sively, as in shooting and working the ball around the key. Overall I am very proud of these girls and I am excit- ed to see them take this win and keep moving forward." Brooks had 12 points, Whitehead 12, Query 2 and Greener 2. Charge!
