"Everything old is new again," Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett told the Post on Saturday outside the $5.7 million Mitchell Street Branch Library after the dedica- tion, borrowing a statement from popular culture. "It's fabulous." Totaling about 23,000 square feet, the newly christened library at 906 W. Historic Mitchell St. is the MPL's largest branch — a dis- tinction that formerly belonged to the Washington Park library, 2121 N. Sherman Blvd. The Mitchell Street Branch replaces the Forest Home Branch, which served patrons for some 50 years at 1432 W.
