It's been said that home is where the
heart is. With some sweat equity, it can
also be where the money is, if you know
where to allocate your investments of
time and remodeling funds.
The University of Wisconsin-Exten-
sion, in collaboration with ProHealth
Care and the Greater Milwaukee Foun-
dation and several other community
organizations, is trying to make those
decisions a little easier on homeowners
with the upcoming Waukesha Home
Improvement Workshop on April 24.
The free "educational program is in
response to neighbors identifying the
need to maintain and improve the exist-
ing homes in older established neighbor-
hoods," said Steven Chmielewski, UW-
Extension community economic devel-
opment educator.
